Description:
Olá a todos! [English below]
In large metropolitan areas, environmental sustainability, system resilience, and social inclusion are just as critical as efficiency. The growth of e-commerce, flexible work patterns, and the rise of on-demand, shared, and active travel options are increasing the complexity of both people and freight flows, while also raising the risk of “transport poverty.”
Proximity-oriented urban design (such as the 15-minute city), sharing-economy models, greater citizen participation, and the emergence of automated, AI-driven vehicles are transforming urban mobility, driven by advanced technologies and innovation.
Addressing these multiple challenges requires interdisciplinary research that integrates optimization, simulation, digital twins, AI, multi-criteria decision analysis, and participatory methods — an agenda that INESC TEC is already pursuing through ongoing projects focused on building more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive urban transport systems.

A frase 'a very interesting topic!' expressa claramente um interesse positivo.
